SYSTEMEU Open Call for Joint Interregional Projects

<p style="margin-top:0px;">The first SYSTEMEU Open Call is looking for <span style="font-weight:bold;">high-quality, cross-border collaborative innovation projects</span> that focus on the digital transformation of the Healthcare, Energy, and Mobility sectors.</p>
<p style="font-weight:bold;">About the Open Call</p> <ul style="list-style-type:disc;"> <li><span style="font-weight:bold;">Eligible applicants:</span> consortia composed of research and higher education organizations, commercial companies and public sector entities and authorities, with a registered PIC, established in Bavaria (Germany), Norte (Portugal), Castile-Leon (Spain), Romania (NUTS-2: RO11, RO12, RO21, RO22, RO31, RO32, RO41, RO42) or Tuzla Canton (Bosnia and Herzegovina).</li> <li><span style="font-weight:bold;">Topics:</span> the call employs a domain-based approach, with these topics framed as open challenges (with examples of eligible projects in brackets):<ul> <li>Topic 1: <span style="font-weight:bold;">Healthcare</span> (Digital Health & Medtech)</li> <li>Topic 2: <span style="font-weight:bold;">Energy</span> (Decentralized, clean & Smart Energy Networks)</li> <li>Topic 3: <span style="font-weight:bold;">Mobility</span> (Intelligent Transport Systems & Logistics)</li></ul></li> <li><span style="font-weight:bold;">Scope of activities:</span> proposals must address experimental development activities (with departing Technology Readiness Level (TRL) in the range of 6 to 8) in one of these options:<ul> <li><span style="font-weight:bold;">Option A: Medium Projects (Innovation Projects)</span>, proposed by consortia composed by 3 to 5 partners established in a minimum of 3 different eligible regions, and including, at least, one for-profit company as core partner.</li> <li><span style="font-weight:bold;">Option B: Small Projects (Feasibility and Integration Projects)</span>, proposed by consortia composed by 2 to 3 partners established in a minimum of 2 different eligible regions and including, at least, one for-profit company (Startup or SME) from an eligible region as a core partner.</li> <li><span style="font-weight:bold;">Flagship Projects (Full-Range Systemic Digitalization)</span> , proposed by consortia composed by 5 to 8 partners covering all 5 participating SYSTEMEU regions and including at least one RTO/University, one company, and one public sector entity actively involved in public service delivery (e.g., municipal administrations or hospitals).</li></ul></li> <li><span style="font-weight:bold;">Funding available:</span> <ul> <li>For the option A (Innovation Projects), <span style="font-weight:bold;">up to 1.1 million euros.</span></li> <li> For the option B (Feasibility and Integration Projects),<span style="font-weight:bold;"> up to 750 000 eruros per project.</span></li> <li>For Flagship projects,<span style="font-weight:bold;"> up to 2.2 million euros per project. </span></li></ul> The maximum funding per individual organization is 600 000 euros over the entire SYSTEMEU duration.</li> <li><span style="font-weight:bold;">Number of projects to be selected:</span> it's expected to select <span style="font-weight:bold;"> 5 to 8</span> projects.</li> </ul>
